FAQs
Delivery
Delivery is to UK Mainland only.
All signs will be shipped via a NEXT DAY service. I usually post signs on a THURSDAY so they should arrive on FRIDAY and a SIGNATURE WILL USUALLY BE NEEDED. I prefer to use an overnight service so that the signs are in transit for the shortest time possible, to reduce the chance of being damaged. Shipping costs vary depending on size and weight of the sign. As always, just message me if you need particular help with a delivery, or have any questions. signhivesigns@gmail.com
Collection is always an option from Orpington, Bromley, or I can deliver locally for a small fee.
HOW TO ORDER
Please email me signhivesigns@gmail.com, or you can message me via Instagram @signhiveuk. I will need as much detail as possible from you in order to quote. eg. Is it a glass or aluminium sign you would like? do you have a budget in mind? Do you need it by a certain date? do you have any fonts/colours in mind? etc.
I am very happy to help with design ideas if you’re not sure exactly what you’re after or have any questions at all, please just get in touch - I will always do my best to work within your budget and timeframe.
Do you OFFER GIFT WRAP?
Yes! Just ask me if you’d like to send a sign directly to someone as a gift, I’m happy to add a card with a note for you, free of charge!
How are the glass signs made?
I reverse gild the glass with genuine gold leaf, usually 23ct, as well as white gold leaf and other metals. I hand paint the design in reverse onto the back of the glass. I add various inlays such as mother of pearl (abalone) shell or glitter. All signs are original works of art, unique, handcrafted pieces that take a lot of time and attention to detail to create, and are priced as such.
Do you do prints?
Unfortunately I am not producing any prints of my work at this stage.
Do you take commissions?
Yes, 90% of my work is private commissions. My lead time varies on how busy I am, so please do get in touch with any questions and for a quote. I will always do my best to work within your budget and timeframe.
